One of my first clients was a couple who share a closet. Those are some of my favorite projects! The banter back and forth that occurs as we sort through each article of clothing is pure comedy.
A favorite part of my job is getting to hear people’s stories. Every person, home, and situation has a story behind it, and I feel honored that clients trust me enough to share theirs with me. I love hearing stories of why they purchased a specific outfit or stories about a deceased loved one’s hobby; stories that people have not told in many years. More than helping to create a space that works for them, I feel my purpose is to remind them of their happy times and cushion their hearts about the sad times.
I carry their stories with me and consider myself somewhat of a historian because of it. That’s my new title- Historian & Professional Organizer. Ha!
