Feeling Embarrassed

Some people openly tell me they're embarrassed that they've "let" their home or workspace become so disorganized.

The solution? Give yourself grace.

Regardless of how you got here, you're reading this today, and that means you've already taken the first step.

One of my favorite quotes is, "I will give you grace if you give me effort." I first heard it six years ago, and it became a foundation for how I approach not only my relationships with others, but also the relationship I have with myself.

Taking the first step is effort. Every step forward is effort. And with each step, you'll begin to see progress and feel a renewed sense of pride.

Giving yourself grace is a lifelong commitment. There will be times when you take a step backward, even while you're working hard to move forward. The most common reason? Because you're human.

When I walk into a disorganized space, I don't see failure, instead I see possibility. My mind begins putting the pieces together like a puzzle. While you may feel embarrassed, I feel excited to help. Because I have a unique relationship with space, I'm confident that when I leave, embarrassment will be replaced with relief, confidence, and a home or workspace that better supports your life.
